I took my tv (in perfect working order) to the Women In Need Thrift Store this afternoon.
"Does it have the remote?"
"Oh, shoot! I left it at home."
"Well, I can't accept it if it doesn't have a remote."
"The buttons work."
"Nope. Have to have the remote."
OK...let me get this straight. I'm donating a tv that works in the hopes that it will help someone escaping a bad situation or in transition but you'll only take it if there's a remote. Apparently we're too lazy to get up off the couch to change channels.
Beggars apparently can be choosers. Who knew?
